With a focus on alternative investments, Yieldstreet enable investors to diversify their portfolios away from traditional investments like stocks and bonds. One particularly interesting offer is their art funds, which allow investors to purchase a fractional ownership stake in highly-valuable blue chip artworks, similar to an Art ETF.
Important note: Yieldstreet currently mostly only accepting U.S. Accredited Investors at the moment. If you are interested in purchasing fractional shares in Blue Chip art but are not a US Accredited Investor, you might be better served by Masterworks, who accept non-U.S. citizen and a lower minimum deposit.
If you are a U.S. Accredited Investor, then you can follow these 6 simple steps to sign up to Yieldstreet. The process should only require about ten minutes of your time.
Step 1. “Skip to Sign Up”
When you click the “Sign up” button on the Yieldstreet website, you will be greeted by two options. The first option is to “Personalize my experience”. This path will ask three simple questions about your prior investing experience. These questions are not intrusive at all and will take you less than 1 minute to answer. After which, you will end up on the same page as if you choose the the second option, which is “Skip to sign up”.
Step 2. Create an Account
Now you can create a Yieldstreet account using your Google account, Apple ID, or another email address.
Step 3. Upload your ID
After creating your account, you will need to verify your identity. You can do this via the “Manage account” tab.
Click on the option to “Upload identity documents” and proceed to upload a scan/photo of your drivers license or passport (or another form of ID).
Step 4. Link your Bank Account
Linking your bank account is the next step. Yieldstreet recommends that you automatically link your bank account by entering your bank login credentials. Alternatively, you can choose to link your bank account manually, but please note that this method may take several days to complete.
Step 5. Verify your AI Status
Verifying your accreditation status is the last step before you can start investing with Yieldstreet. You can verify your Accredited Investor Status with documentation from a third party, income statements, or net worth statements.
Step 6. Start Investing in Art Funds
And that’s it! That is how you sign up to Yieldstreet. Once you have completed the previous steps and your account has been verified, you are now ready to explore and invest in Yieldstreet’s art funds (or whichever other funds of their that take your fancy).
If you have any further questions about investing in art funds, like that offered by Masterworks, Public, or Yieldstreet, please reach out to email@example.com, and we would be happy to set you on the right path. Additionally, you can learn more about Art ETFs here.
